We hired NuLook Cabinet Refacing to reface our kitchen cabinets. We paid an initial deposit of $1000, a $2000 deposit when the product was ordered and a $3000 payment when work started on 1/18/2021. The individual doing the work was prompt & polite. Unfortunately, the workmanship and materials used are substandard. The veneer cracked and chipped during installation. We have veneer that is bowed and not adhering to the cabinet frames. On Jan 29, the owner, Tom R***, came over to install 2 pullouts in a cabinet. When he arrived, we had post it notes on all the areas of concern (13 post it notes in total). Tom indicated he would have the installer, Kevin, come over and replace the chipped & cracked veneer & address the problem areas. On Feb 3, Kevin was over but did not replace any veneer. Kevin indicated he would talk with Tom because he hadn't seen these issues before. For a week, we heard nothing but then Tom came over on Feb 13. He indicated he would not replace the veneer. Tom told us the cracks were considered imperfections, not defects and not related to workmanship. He told us we nulook kitchen cabinets in rochester were being too picky; the cabinet doors & drawers make the kitchen & that the doors & drawers cover up some of the problems.
The kitchen looks brand new - a complete change from old style cream, 70's wood to a new (but retro) shaker white. Everyone thinks we gutted and re build the kitchen. The crew at New Look was incredibly professional and clean, and the entire job from the initial visit until completion only took 5 weeks - faster than was expected!
I have used them twice. Once for painting the outside of the house and merienda for inside work. Both had excellent results. Other neighbors have had similar experiences with them and are highly recommended. What more could you ask for?”
